People resist the Idea of God.. As long as they do then they can never come to any assurence in any answer they come up with in regard to the big questions..
@emiliya I think it's pretty clear from the context of the story that "God" just didn't know where Adam was. Why would Adam think he could hide from God anyway? Obviously he didn't believe that this God at least was omniscient.

@Richard65 Who says it is modern irony? What is modern about it?

You atheists are like caged birds and have no imagination.

@emiliya seriously? A holy book written 1500 years ago had God using arch asides and sarcastic comments? Lol, thank you for exhibiting how ludicrous the faithful can be.

I used to need answers. Now I'm more interested in the questions themselves and who I'm becoming by asking them.😊
@emiliya Umm... not a machine? You know, I'm not like a car, or washing machine, or toaster, or oven, or smartphone, or... the list goes on.
WHY would anyone think they're machinery? I don't get it. It's patently absurd.

@DLight The human body is a machine. It has a heart for an engine and computer for a brain and nervous system. The skeleton holds it together. You have no soul. Just a brain that will die with you. What else are you without God?

My machine is something more with God. He designed the machine, but you reject Him. You don't get to keep your machine and call it what you want. It's going in the bin once it is finished with you. You aren't driving this car into the sunset and living happy ever after.
@emiliya 🧐 …what makes you so sure it’s a him? 😌

For me, questions open possibilities, they help me learn who I am and what matters. It keeps life curious, not fixed

Why do you want to learn who you are? The brain was made for the outside world. That also is what you have eyes and ears for.
@emiliya Peace and quiet😅

People are just animals. It’s sheer ego that we think we are here for a purpose.

I’m just doing me thing and going happily about it. Good company, good food and drink, adventures and memories.

Everyone dies, not everyone lives.
AdmiralPrune · 46-50, M
@DLight Religion is probably the thing that makes animals more noble than us.

Religion encourages you to kill people you never met just because they have a different imaginary friend to you.

@DLight I’m funny? You’re the one who’s in her 20s but “tired in spirit”. I’m twice your age and still loving life. So I’d say I’m doing it right.

Maybe put down your old, irrelevant book and go outside for a bit.

Like I said. We all die, not all of us live.
