If you had family history of an untreatable disease that you had 50% probability of inheriting but it typically sets on later at like 40 years old

would you get tested? Why or why not?

Yes. It would feel negligent to not get tested. And I'd be a worrywart about it anyway. Lol

And yes, Because knowledge helps equip you to prepare for the future, however or whatever you may choose for yourself. I have a genetic blood disorder in which I have to be careful about birth control. My siblings and I had a 50 percent chance of getting it. I'm glad I learned about that sooner rather then later so I could learn more about it. What if I had a debilitating condition and quality of life from blood clots in my.blood stream at 22 because of taking the wrong birth control year after year?

Knowledge is a good thing. I'd want to prepare myself for the best health outcome. Even if it's years before I have to worry about it.
