If you had family history of an untreatable disease that you had 50% probability of inheriting but it typically sets on later at like 40 years old

both of my children were born with a rare genetic disease that no one else had in the family. Just a rare hookup between me and my exhusband. you bet they got genetic counselling. especially if you want to have kids.
