The moon landings.

@RodneyTrotter1 Do you believe they were fake? or legit?

I agree. It never happened. I'm sure it made for exciting TV though!

@zonavar68 Fake. The fact that they haven't returned makes it very suspect.

@swirlie That's what I think, just done for sensationalism.

The fact that only NOW they are sending manned rockets to only circumnavigate the moon would tell me that they never got that far before either!
If they've already been to the moon and back, then why are they exploring the moon's atmosphere now as a precursor to a potential manned moon landing?

@swirlie Exactly, the claims are as watertight as a teabag.
Also, the drooping flag when Armstrong steps out of the spacecraft... apparently there's no gravity up there so how would the flag droop? It would droop in the Arizona Desert though 😉

In addition to that, how did Neil Armstrong set up all the cameras outside the LEM so that they were pre-positioned when he made his debut of walking down the ladder and taking that first step on the moon?
Technically speaking, the moon should have been covered with his boot prints from setting up all the cameras before everything got televised back to earth!

@swirlie I've wondered that too. These things probably went unnoticed in all of the excitement at first but more and more flaws have become evident over the years.

@RodneyTrotter1 lunar gravity is 1.62 m/s sq, so about 1/5 of earth's gravity. So yes objects in the 'atmosphere' of the moon are subjected to a minimal gravitational effect specific to the size and material density of the moon.
