My maternal side settled in Connecticut and Massachusetts, from England in the late 1600's with at least 4 of them fighting in the Revolutionary War.
My paternal side were Quakers who fled religious oppression in Norway in the late 1800's. They immigrated and established farms in northern Iowa and North Dakota.
