Here is news about another Irishman who died just yesterday on St Patrick's Day, at the age of 105.

John "Paddy" Hemingway was the last surviving RAF fighter pilot who took part the Battle of Britain in WW2.

@Thinkerbell I meant it was so sad he was the last of a wonderful generation of people. Go figure and Irishmen would outlast them all.💐

They found one of his crash led planes and the gun firing controls where on in the firing position!

That’s the luck of the Irish for sure !!
My friend’s grandfather was Irish decent from Nova Scotia he fought for the British in ww1
Bayonetted twice and shot ..
and survived the war my friend said the only thing he was angry about was the black marketing of his Red Cross packages
