In Europe America's greatest contribution was arms and vehicles. The US's contribution of fighting men was not nearly as important. The Soviet Union won the war.

@Gibbon Yeah and they were the last ones off the beach. The Canadians were 20 miles inland before the Yanks got off the beach. What does that say? Omaha beach was not more difficult than Juno. Then there was the disastrous idea of sending in the B17s on daylight raids.
