In Galveston Texas. Here you can tour a ship & sub that fought in WW2. The sub in the photo sank one of the Japanese ships that attacked Pearl Harbor. No negative comments please

We were there a year and a half ago and I missed it. I never knew it was there. I would have loved to have seen it. Now we have been to Charleston SC and toured the aircraft carrier the Yorktown. They had a WWII submarine too. I found it fascinating. I can tell you there definitely is not as much room on one as they make it look in the movies.

@Musicman If you want to get a good idea about life in a WW2 submarine I’d strongly recommend you watch the Directors Cut version of the German Film DASBOOT 🙂

@Anniedlr That is a very good movie. I haven't seen the directors cut though.
@Anniedlr Run Silent, Run Deep, is pretty good too.

@NativePortlander1970 Yes it is. Have you seen Hellcats of the Navy?
@Musicman John Wayne as the Navy pilot? I have been meaning to for years.
