But I don’t view this national anthem to be hateful
It talks about fighting a brutal offensive
force in order to defend their home land

Most national anthems include a statement of defending one’s land as well.

@Moon3624 There are two types, most are about killing the Enemy and drawing pride out of the bloodbath, the other type is about exile and going home to one's native land .*inserts hills and rolling mountains*.

My country’s national anthem is not like that though but you are right when it comes to national anthems

But what I meant is that I’ll not blame countries like Algeria for their national anthem
because clearly their national anthem stems from oppression and colonialism
therefore I have no problem with it
Nor do I view it to be a call for violence

@Moon3624 It's not about blaming, I had a dream that humankind could go beyond justifying violence. We can do better than wallow in resentment.
