In the biblical old testament they were at war with almost everyone. Including their own people at times. Going so far as to genocide whole tribes.
After a while the nation becomes more at peace. Especially under the Roman empire. But there was still the drive from a Zionist ethnostate even then.
Then by the time Jesus comes around and is executed the followers of Jesus blame them for literally killing their god. Except him not staying dead was kind of the whole point.
But then the church came to power and was the only part of the Roman empire to remain in power and they ruled for a thousand years. For the next fifteen hundred years or so the christian community literally demonized the Jews going so far as to say they engaged in pedophilia, ate babies and sacrificed them to Satan. All because they didn't believe Jesus was the son of God and were blamed for his death. We call that time the dark ages for a very good reason.
This cumulates in the rise of Hitler who was going to create the "final solution". As he said his movement was a Christian movement. The entire culture of Europe had been fed two millennia of dehumanizing propaganda so the rise of a mad man was almost inevitable.
You can't keep demonizing people that long without serious repercussions.
Now a days we have right wingers, republicans, evangelicals, Qanon conspiracy theorists that spread the same devil worshiping, baby eating lies that the church started.
The current situation has also given power to neo-nazis and other antisemites to sow chaos and confusion by saying being against the Israeli government is antisemitic. And the simple minded fall for it because they can't distinguish between a government and a people. So they hijack the entire conversation so sow discord.
So it is a literal 10,000+ year old clusterfuck of hate and genocide that will never end. Which is why I find it incredulous that people still pick sides in a war that is literally older than the written word. Thinking that side XY will win against side YX this time. The literal only time the middle east has been at peace was before humans left Africa. So it's not nation or culture Z that is the problem. It that humans are the problem.
