Ever touch a piece of history?

I remember the first airplane I ever flew in. It was an old Canadian Armed forced 'Dakota'. I remember sitting along the side of the aircraft facing the opposite side. It rumbled and grumbled to life and shortly we were in the air. Only after we landed and I talked to the pilot did I learn that the airplane seating was for paratroopers. That made even more sense when the pilot explained that this particular aircraft had taken part in the D Day invasion dropping troops behind enemy lines.

I stayed in the house where Rudolph Hess was held during the war. It has a secret tunnel that has to remain closed fir 50 years.

Went to the Titanic exhibit a while back. There was a piece of the hull in a case you could reach in and touch.

Yes. My grandparent’s farm had a Bronze Age long barrow burial. I use to sit on it as a little girl and watch my grandad plow the hills.
