Should we ban?

American history that this great country? We can always add to history and keep the country's history that is already acknowledged. Together it would accurately depict the true history of the American culture instead of only showing one part of history.

Can you rephrase the question in English?

@BohemianBoo all I was posting was don’t ban the historical stuff that America already has. Just add any significant history and show America’s real history. Instead of removing something and replace it by adding something that represents a side of history that isn’t represented. That will lead us back to banning history again
@specman See, when you post sober, I can understand you fine.
And yes, most people here are against Ron DeSantis.

@BohemianBoo it was truly meant to be a positive post. It turned into people slamming America for past things and other things.
@specman Well that's because you're being dishonest. The only people who want to ban teaching about history are Republicans, because they want to bring back things like slavery.
So for you, as a Republican, to talk about teaching history just comes off as being bad faith.

@BohemianBoo Not just him but also things like monuments. Those people are looked up to by some. We can add other monuments so that people that take offense will have something to look up to also. We can change our history we can just make monuments. I’m against some of things peoples do and I’m for some things
specman · 51-55, M
@BohemianBoo it would bring some peace
@specman Even the people who want to take down monuments aren't saying we should stop teaching history. People who want to take down confederate statues are saying we shouldn't celebrate those people, but we should still teach the Civil War in schools.
Literally the only people pushing "patriotic education" are Republicans because the modern GOP is fascist.
I understand you're older, maybe you became a Republican when the party was moderate, but today's trumpian GOP is an authoritarian theocratic party.
specman · 51-55, M
@BohemianBoo From the successes they accomplished are what made America.
@specman I disagree, but that's beside the point. Today's GOP is fascist. What other Republicans did in the past is completely unrelated to the modern GOP ideology.

@BohemianBoo I still believe they act with the best of intentions to help America
@specman If you're a Fascist, I can understand that. But don't pretend you oppose mass government censorship.
specman · 51-55, M
@BohemianBoo I don’t censoring has only been by the mainstream media that leans to the left. They only scrutinize the right digging at what will make the right look like the bad guys. They give no media coverage on anything good the right does. That’s why you don’t hear about the good that they do good. The only places that you can hear about the good is by reading a right leaning media outlet. Ex. All of the coverage of the Trump cases . They might give a little if any coverage to a threat to national security involving the investigation of their democratic president and his family. Another thing or person they do no coverage on is Hunter Biden. They protect the democrats and support anyone that leans left. Hell, I bet the majority of Americans don’t know about the Biden investigation, not to mention the IRS investigation.
