Should we ban?

American history that this great country? We can always add to history and keep the country's history that is already acknowledged. Together it would accurately depict the true history of the American culture instead of only showing one part of history.

History has always been written by the victors. We don't hear the history of all the people conquered by the mongols or the history of the people conquered by the Romans or the Egyptians.

What is important is to remember the history of things that go horribly wrong No matter how many times socialism has been tried. It always has and always will fail. With too much power comes greed. Take for example all of our politicians who have been in the senate or Congress for more than 10 years. They are no longer there to serve but feel like they are entitled.

Socialism continues to fail because of greed. And the only place social history programs work is in very miniscule populations That are homogeneous to each other Take for example Norway Finland And other countries that the entire population is similar not extremely diverse.

@dale74 😂 Finland and nordic countries are not homogenous that's just a myth.

[quote]Finland has an unbroken history of ethnic, linguistic, and religious diversity and migration. As far as research goes, much of this story is already well known. The Finnish economy and cities were international from their early beginnings, and subsequent industrialization based on Scottish, German, Swiss, Swedish, and Russian capital and know-how. In the 1870s, fewer than one in three people living in Helsinki spoke Finnish as their native language.

Also rural communities were far from isolated. Swedish was spoken along the coast, Karelian and Ingrian dialects on the eastern border, and Sami and Meänkieli in the North. Goods and services were circulated from house to house by mobile Roma families, Karelian and Russian traders, Italian organ grinders, and Tatar carpet sellers. After the latter established their religious community in 1925, Finland became one of the first countries in Europe to have an Islamic congregation recognised by the state. (The Jewish minority had already had a synagogue in Helsinki since the 1870s.)

Even people who spoke different dialects of Finnish were not carved from the same tree. People from the eastern and western parts of Finland are drastically different from each other in terms of genetics and history, and the further back in time you go, the more fragmented the picture becomes. The surnames that became more common from the 1600s onwards also point to continuous movement of people: alongside the common Finnish Virtanen and Mäkelä were the equally ordinary Virolainen (“Estonian”), Venäläinen (“Russian”), Ruotsalainen (“Swedish”), Tanskanen (“Danish”), Lappalainen (“Lappish”), and many others. Yeah and Capitalism isn't failing? Greed is being incentivized under capitalism and makes it a very destructive force.

@Gloomy https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finland

Over 90% of their population is Finish
About 70% claim to be Christian
Population less than 6 million

That is not a large Diverse population

@Gloomy Just keep drinking the cool-aid gloomy
Gloomy · F
@dale74 white hegemonity is not the reason why the nordic system works so well 🙄 or you think cultural differences hugely affect economic structures?
dale74 · M
@Gloomy Yes it is. And it is cultural oppression that hugely affects economic structures. I'm not sure where you're from but African American communities thrived in Little Rock With heightened music sports food and culture in the African community Thriving well till Oppression by Democrat politicians Who led lynchings.

Later in Oklahoma African Americans thrived in financial markets banking and businesses till the federal government came in and destroyed it. This was stirred by Woodrow Wilson and his policy's of oppression on black people.

Gloomy · F
@dale74 🤦‍♀️ Of course local interventions and racism affect the people and therefore their economic standing but for example saying you cannot implement universal healthcare because of diversity is just a stupid argument.
dale74 · M
@Gloomy so you're one thing is just universal health Care. No it's not universal health Care is just one step into total socialist. They're already currently talking about a universal minimum income no work required.
Gloomy · F
@dale74 so other first world nations are socialist?
Oh yeah making sure to prevent homelessness and supporting social cohesion is a terrible thing 🙄
dale74 · M
@Gloomy examples
Gloomy · F
@dale74 of countries with universal healthcare?
Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine...
dale74 · M
@Gloomy social cohesion so in other words not diverse
Gloomy · F
@dale74 No you just don't understand the term.

Social cohesion can be described as the “glue” that bonds society together, essential for achieving peace, democracy and development. This “glue” is made up of four key components: 1) Social Relationships, 2) Connectedness, 3) Orientation towards the common good and 4) Equality.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@dale74 so basically you're arguing for apartheid?
dale74 · M
dale74 · M
@Gloomy Words have meanings and just because you've changed what's your definition of the word is in the last 20 years doesn't mean that that word truly has changed its definition
Gloomy · F
@dale74 Social cohesion hasn't been redefined what are you on about? Also there are other languages and it directly translates to social connectedness.
