Are you satisfied with what you have achieved in the past ten years ?

Depends upon how I look at it. Would have preferred to do more, but I had a few good years with a new partner following my wife's death, and then took care of her up until her death. Being a caregiver -- particularly twice over -- is not an "achievement" you enjoy, but there is a certain satisfaction in knowing that you stepped up to the challenges.

@dancingtongue @dancingtongue Bravo! Even through grief, a loving heart has the power to change others' lives.

Yes. I have let go of my work-life as a means of survival and I have embraced the 'work' I did during that career to improve my attitude toward other people. Now I get pleasure out of doing a little surprise to benefit someone' every day.... It may be just compliment, it may just be picking up a piece of trash off someone's lawn, it may be a bit of advice or a condolence to support someone. But: Every day i feel good in the freedom I have to choose for good and to help where I can. Besides, it keeps me (mostly) out of trouble.

In a way. Did I accomplish as much as I'd like? No. But, on the other hand, I've survived various health issues, etc., and can still get around -- more or less -- any my mind still works, so things aren't too bad, all things considered.

@ChipmunkErnie Obviously you have accomplished much: You have developed a positive attitude through meeting adversity and accepting life as it came to you.... that trait will serve you well.

Yes, I’m content with where I am today.
JollyRoger · 70-79, M
@Menetics Ah... Where is your drive to explore, to learn more about yourself and the world round you? Now, while you have a strong body is the time to push yourself to achieve so that in another 10 years you will have more than contentment to report to us.
Menetics · 26-30, F
@JollyRoger Being content doesn't mean that I’m limiting myself from the possibilities that life presents to me.
JollyRoger · 70-79, M
@Menetics Good! Just look and then 'seize them' when those possibilities present themselves. Excite yourself!

One could always do better and improve themselves as nobody is perfect

@Poppies Come on Poppies.... You are still 'young'.... you have another 20 years of good living to do and that means that you NEED to change that 'No' into a "Look at me now."
