Right-wing crackpots seek to demonize Democratic Party politicians

That is a very dangerous practice. It can influence simple-minded and mentally unbalanced persons to engage in violence, as we saw with the attack on 82 year-old Paul Pelosi a few days ago.

Here are some typical features of right-wing extremist conspiracy rhetoric:

1. They make bizarre claims of horrendous acts without offering any proof or evidence.
2. They use sinister sounding epithets, “The Biden crime family”, “the horrible actions of Nancy Pelosi” while offering no supporting evidence or reasoned argument.
3. They use emotion words, calling any opposition or critics Nazis or communists,
4. They use vague, undefined terms, such as, “Un-American”, “Total social control”, “Make America Great Again” (what is the definition of great, what time period does Again refers to?)
5. They reject any contradicting evidence as part of the conspiracy.
6. They encourage violent vigilante action instead of lawful procedures.

I say to the right-wing conspiracy purveyors, You are creating a precedent. As you demonize others you may find yourself being demonized. The next hammer attack may be against you. Think about it.

They’re as prone to fostering violence as any Republican or trump supporter they cite, but what you point out, quickly forgotten!
