@SmartKat Yes. After the civil war the U.S. became a corporation.

@SmartKat It's already becoming that way regarding corporations. Local businesses are more and more getting replaced by huge companies with billions of dollars. Coca Cola even has its own set of scientists. Corporations influence massive policy changes without the public even knowing.
