The Last Meeting Hall Of The Knights Of The Ku Klux Klan?

Though from December 2019, this is an important history lesson about a KKK meeting hall in Fort Worth TX.

Today in 2026, an organization called "Transform 1012 North Main St", wishes to transform the former Ku Klux Klan auditorium in Fort Worth, TX, into a center for arts and community healing, repurposing a monument to hate into a beacon of truth-telling, reparative justice, and liberation.

Yes. Robert Byrd... He served in Congress for over 57 years, first in the House of Representatives (1953–1959) and then in the Senate (1959–2010).

He was a racist pig....but had his "come to Jesus moment" and
he expressed deep regret later in life, calling his Klan affiliation the greatest mistake of his life.

He earned a vastly improved rating and positive acknowledgment from the NAACP later in his career for supporting civil rights legislation and funding initiatives like the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial.

So, you see Sport, even the worst of people can change for the better and see the errors of their ways.

Perhaps you can learn something from him.
