Freddy “Boom Boom” Cannon, the rock and roll singer whose energetic hits helped define the late 1950s and early 1960s, has died. He was 89.
Cannon died Friday after a brief battle with cancer while receiving hospice care in California, according to family members. His death was announced by longtime friend and iHeartRadio producer Tom Cuddy.
