@Darksideinthenight2 there was no evidence of match fixing, this is such a stupid case of trump led mis-information. The ref in question is Raphael Claus. He was asked to arbitrate and give counsel on a case because he is so respected. It is awful that Trump is trying to bring his reputation into disrepute.. this coming from a man who is a convicted felon, a sex offender who is named more times in the Epstein files than Epstein.
Messi should have been booked. I don't think anyone disputes this. But quite often the game as a whole is taken into consideration, and also the player.....but it happens right, some referees let things go others don't that is sport but at the end of the day their decision stands. Should we see Quansah's red card suspended, i mean his spikes were down so you could argue that was a harsh decision too.
FIFA's rulebook does not allow for appeals, they cannot introduce a rule part way through the tournament.
It's just not football, and it is a shame because i think usa can win without Balogun but now if they do win they will have done so by cheating
@Darksideinthenight2 it was a red card, a harsh one but it was the right decision. Balogun could have caused serious injury, his spikes were up. It was not intentional or malicious but it was a sending off offence.
Now it is important to note that this decision has not been overturned. The red card still stands. Fifa have merely delayed the suspension by 1 year. This is ridiculous.
