Eleven killed in France plane crash.

Eleven have been killed in a plane that was carrying skydivers. It took off from Nancy-Essey airfield in northeastern France and had climbed about 70 meters. Locals who witnessed the crash said the plane banked to the left before making a vertical plunge.

These were people who never thought their plane would crash. We use planes every day. Planes and skydiving are safe and everything will be fine. Right?

Was it a Boeing plane?

@independentone Pilatus. Can you imagine being one of those passengers? Some were student nurses. Just looking to have a good time and do that thing people call fun.

No one thinks they will be snuffed out by a flying machine.

Any loss of life is tragic. But anyone who jumps out of perfectly good aircraft for fun is really asking for trouble..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman It is if you are in an overloaded plane. Don't you think of these things? No one will if you don't.

@Roundandroundwego Everyone seems to have contempt for life and ordinary living.
@emiliya it's obviously a time of great wealth and ostentatious displays of talent, and it's a time of hopeless poverty that the rich find so easy to discard like human trash.
This was quite some time ago. April/May.
@emiliya That two planes, both loaded with skydivers crash within a month or two of each other. It's quite the odds, at the very least.
@Magicianzini really. Ever lived around a group selling these excursions? They're always getting over a death, always moving on to new adventures. Thinking positive! Bonding over losses and making flight suits on the side,... They're charismatic and the deaths aren't a problem for their friends.
@Roundandroundwego We don't do enough exorcisms as a race anymore.

Why didn't they jump i wonder??
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@kodiac It seems the plane didnt get very high. By the time they knew there was a problem there was no time.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman How high is 70 meters? Not high enough i guess
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@kodiac 200ft.. Not even high enough for a chute to deploy really. And I am guessing the pilot was the only one who knew for sure he had a problem then. and the only one without a chute.. Irony?😷

I never quite got the allure of risk taking activities. Bungee jumping, rock climbing, wing suit flying, sky diving, motorcycle jumping and others. You might die if you do them. You will not die if you don't.

Golf is a big enough risk for me. I've been hit several times with errant shots.

@MoveAlong I don't get that stuff. I'm just not looking to get smashed to pieces or burnt to a crisp.

People like to have sex right after such events because it increases the intensity.

They probably haven't been doing it right all along then.
