What's your take on Brits believing in the "canal pusher" who pushes people into canals to drown? Canals are only 3 ft deep lol

Here's a photo of a drained canal which really highlights how shallow they are. Literal waist deep water at most

I'm convinced "pushed into a canal and drowned" is the British equivalent of "fell out of a window" 😆

Not all areas of a canal are 3ft deep. Locks are deep enough for people to swim in... and depth is of little importance when it comes to drowning - you can drown in a washing up bowl if you can't get your head above the surface.
