History repeating itself

I have been watching what has been going on for the last couple of weeks and I recalled this quote from Goerring. I am not a fan of Germany in WW2, but his remarks are as valid now as they were then.

And who are those who are forgotten who didn't make a mark to be remembered they too have repeated what has been done and those following them will repeat also.

Then there is the age old question of what if they had a war and nobody came? I hear that is happening in Israel where the government has called up 90,000 reservists but 30,000 of them stayed home.

@emiliya I think that the quote was from a book written by someone else. Goehring never left prison. He was given pen by a woman the day before he was suppose to be hanged and he swallowed a poison pill (cyanide?) and beat the hangman's noose.
