Why are democrats against voter ID, But Mamdami says you need ID to be an emergency snow shoveler?

Supposedly you have to have ID and a social security number to shovel snow, but that is not needed to vote! Does that make sense?

If you want to go shovel snow off the public sidewalks, nobody's going to stop you. If you want to be on government payroll, you need ID like any other job. Seems pretty reasonable.
