Texas's 18th Congressional District finally has a representative, even if only until November. Wheels Abbott refused to appoint a representative after the previous one died. There is now one more D in Congress shrinking the R majority.

Taylor Rehmet beat a trump "approved" R known for the usual culture war BS. That state senate seat has been R since Bill Meier changed parties in the early 80s.

Gerrymandering and rural areas are the only things keeping Texas red.
