That the key to a middle class lifestyle is a college education. I’m sure it probably was once upon a time, but this doesn’t seem to be the reality anymore.

@deadmoon I definitely agree with this to a certain extent. I would say that the investment into a College education is only worth it if you are going into STEM. Maybe an MBA is still worth it if you are going into Corporate management or Finance.
However, I have seen, and continue to see, jobs that require a BA or MS even if the degree is not relevant to the position.

@SumKindaMunster Exactly. And seeing some employers require master’s degrees for job positions that only pay $15 an hour boils my blood. If you want elite employees, you should be prepared to offer elite salaries too and actually pay them their worth. Those student loans aren’t going to pay themselves. But unfortunately this is also starting to happen a lot.

@deadmoon One of the things starting to emerge from the A.I. revolution is that while many professions will be displaced and replaced, a lot of trades like plumber, electrician and personal caring professions like nurse will be in higher demand as A.I cant provide the physical services..😷
