House approves Epstein files bill in near-unanimous vote.

427-1.

The legislation is now on track toward the desk of President Donald Trump, who spent months trying to kill it.

The 427-1 vote came after a long campaign to circumvent House Republican leaders and White House officials who fought tooth and nail to convince members of their party to oppose the measure. As Democrats sought to stoke division in the GOP over the administration’s decision to withhold further information in the Epstein case, the issue proved increasingly toxic for Republicans — and Tuesday’s vote became inevitable.

Only Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.), a fervent Trump loyalist, voted against it. Victims of Epstein who had gathered in the House gallery cheered as the vote closed.

Why didn’t Brain Dead Joe do Anything?

@Dino11 I know your dementia has set in but Biden is not president.
JSul3 · 70-79
@Dino11 For the millionth time, the files were not accessible due to a judge's order to seal them, as the Maxwell trial was happening and possible appeals to follow.

So.....why didn't Trump release them all like he said he would months ago?
@JSul3 He is a MAGA cult member. The law is irrelevant to them.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@JSul3 I’m sure he could have gotten a liberal judge to unseal them for the right pay off and she’s been in prison for a few years , had she been going to appeal it would have been done right away. Which it wasn’t. So that blows that theory for the 100 billionth time.Ghislaine Maxwell has been in prison since her arrest on July 2, 2020, meaning she has been incarcerated for approximately 5 years and 4 months. She is currently serving a 20-year sentence at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas.
JSul3 · 70-79
@Prison1203 Why was she moved to a less restricted prison?

A court ruling in August 2025 determined that grand jury transcripts from the criminal case against Maxwell would remain sealed.

Why did Trump say he'd release them, then changed his mind?

Why did he have the FBI remove his name in all of the records?
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@JSul3 the criminal case against Maxwell has no bearing on the Epstein files
@JSul3 Simple. Quid Pro Quo deal with the Crook in chief.
JSul3 · 70-79
@Prison1203 Actually it did.

One of the primary reasons for sealing certain documents related to Jeffrey Epstein was to avoid compromising the ongoing investigation and subsequent criminal case against Ghislaine Maxwell.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@JSul3 she’s been in jail since Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison on June 28, 2022, for her role in conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse and traffic minors. She lost her bid for an appeal, 2 years gave the Biden admin plenty of time to release the files and would have done so if Trump was in them in any disparaging manner
JSul3 · 70-79
@Prison1203 Ok, have it your way.
Will Trump release all of the FBI files....after he's had his name erased from them.....or not?

You know that just because he signed (with an autopen?) the bill means nothing...he can place it in a desk drawer and ignore it.

Why did Trump have the FBI erase his name on all of the documents?
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@JSul3 do you have a source for that? Where’s your source showing he’s had his name blacked out ?
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@Prison1203 Biden may not have released them bc some of his buddies or donors were likely mentioned. If that's the case he should be condemned for it. Same with trump.

I suspect powerful people from both parties and some other prominent men around the world were involved. A light needs to be shined on every damn one of them. If any can still be prosecuted (probably not) they should be.
JSul3 · 70-79
@Prison1203 You don't read the news do you?
Trump has had Patel's gang in the FBI go through everything in the files and remove his name.
Multiple media sources can be found via a simple web search.

How did Trump change his rhetoric about the files being a hoax....then saying he'd release everything?
How does a hoax suddenly become not a hoax?
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@MoveAlong for once I agree with you, what a miracle , god must have given you some Devine guidance
JSul3 · 70-79
@Prison1203 BS.

Release the entire Epstein files and let the chips fall where they may....that includes documents with Trump's name.

There's no way in hell Trump will do that.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@JSul3 just because a bunch of democrats say that’s what’s going on does not make it factual, you need to lay off the alphabet news sources and search out unbiased news outlets. No one know what the FBI is doing EXCEPT THE FBI ONLY
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@JSul3 so you know what Trumps going to do before he does it, you must be a psychic or psycho, which one are you?

@Prison1203
An old report has brought back a question Donald Trump’s team hoped would disappear: did the FBI work through the night to remove his name from the Jeffrey Epstein files before saying there was nothing left to release? The timing is important as Trump has suddenly reversed his stance on making the documents public.
Trump announced on Truth Social: “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.” It marked a sudden U-turn after months of resisting pressure from both parties. His shift only came once it became clear that the House was preparing to move forward without him.
The move was surprising given that Trump had previously dismissed the Epstein issue as a Democratic “hoax” despite having campaigned on transparency in 2024. Bloomberg reported in August this year that an FBI FOIA team had already blacked out Trump’s name from the documents during an exhaustive internal review.

Sources familiar with the process told Bloomberg, “We know from news reports that Trump’s name was in the Epstein files. But what hasn’t been reported is that an FBI FOIA team redacted Trump’s name and the names of other prominent public figures from the documents.” The review involved up to 1,000 FBI agents and staff working through more than 100,000 documents.
The White House referred questions about the redactions to the FBI. The FBI declined to comment and the Justice Department offered no response. In July, DOJ and the FBI said they had collected more than 300 gigabytes of Epstein-related evidence but concluded that “no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted.” The decision angered Trump’s base, with Joe Rogan accusing the administration of “trying to gaslight” its own supporters.

The House is now expected to back the release of the files, though the Senate will require 60 votes. At the same time, Trump has urged Republicans to refocus on economic issues, warning that Epstein is a “trap.” And that Democrats are trying to distract Americans from the shutdown, he said last week.

And the House voted to release the files with only 1 vote of dissent. The Senate then passed it, and now Trump has supposedly signed it.

So when is Trump releasing them?
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@JSul3 the times of India, lmao I’m sure they know so much about our political insiders and our inside information, where do you come up with these obscure sources? Do you google something and pick whatever agrees with your point ? Even if it’s not factual reporting? Why is it that none of your sources reveal who said anything, it’s always inside information or inside sources, but never anyone close to the actual source such as the fbi, the house or senate?

@Prison1203 Did you read the entire piece where Bloomberg is referenced?

There are numerous sources to choose from besides Fox News.
I chose this one because it provided the info.

Do a simple web search and choose the source you wish to read.

@JSul3 Bloomberg is just as bad, a complete liberal rag
