I gotta admit that having argentina sell more beef to us does make sense. Better than giving them $40B.

Wasn't the whole point of tariffs to stop people eating imported beef and rely on American products? I think he doesn't really know what he is doing.

@SunshineGirl I've just looked up the figures and production and consumption of beef and buffalo in the US are a pretty close match, both are between 35 and 40 kg per capita per year. Production is 12 million tonne so I think everyone involved from Trump down is exaggerating the effect that importing 80 000 tonne from Argentina will have. It's only about 0.6% of US production.
