Over-medicated in most cases. Too much profit in it, and not just for Big Pharma. Fee-for-service, for-profit health care providers have too much financial incentive to over-prescribe as well, and allowing Big Pharma to advertise prescription drugs directly to consumers to put pressure on their doctors was a huge mistake.
