Pentagon press policy

What is up with that? Some things they say to the press they don’t want them to report on it. I have an idea just don’t say what you don’t want them to report on.

Several News media have not signed it including Fox News

Yeah that little rule won't last very long. Freedom of the Press is in the constitution. No government gets to determine what the press does or doesn't get to report on.

@hippyjoe1955 they aren’t breaking the First Amendment if they just say don’t come in to the press room. They are basically saying that you will have to get your report elsewhere. It is not a right for the press to be there it is a privilege. Although it will not be deemed transparent and it would cause more misinformation. They( the reporters might cry enough about the first amendment) then the White House could just make fewer updates or limit the information. Me I am against the policy. It would be simpler to just not say it if you don’t want them to report on it.
Maybe they are tired of journalists putting an anti Trump spin in the info that they are given.

@specman we will leave that for the courts to decide.
