Trump is now a war hero. He said it so it must be true, right?

Trump came up with a new label for himself. War hero.

Politico reported:

U.S. President Donald Trump called himself a ‘war hero’ on Tuesday for approving airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. Calling into conservative host Mark Levin’s radio show, Trump said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was ‘a war hero ‘cause we worked together.’

“He’s a war hero. I guess I am, too,” Trump said. “Nobody cares. But I am, too. I mean, I sent those planes.”

If Trump wanted to be a war hero, he had an opportunity to serve during the war in Vietnam, but he instead sought and received five deferments — claiming he had “bone spurs.”

He nevertheless boasted to voters that he “felt” like he’d served in the military because his parents sent him to a military-themed boarding school as a teenager. He later claimed, in apparent seriousness, that his expensive prep school gave him “more training militarily than a lot of the guys that go into the military.”

********

One trait of every war hero is humility.
From Alvin York to Audie Murphy or the many other actual war heroes that have served our country in the military, none of them ever boast of their actions.

Because he hardly has any education, and is proud of it, he doesn't understand the meaning of most of the words he uses. His literature training was probably through comics.

@FreddieUK And you much smarter, just check into your bank account and see how many pounds are residing there as opposed to Donalds many accounts
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 This is where you and I are very different. I have every penny that I need. I go without nothing that I need. I have enough to share with a few people. I am content. Money is not what I care about, but I do want to make sure that other people have enough.

I am not jealous of the rich because I do not see them as happy people because they always want more.
@sunsporter1649 Donald tRump received at least $413 million from his father's real estate empire over his lifetime. Donald tRump was a millionaire by age 8, and the money continued to flow. Yes indeed, little Donald did a simply brilliant job of inheriting a fortune!

I have a different question for @FreddieUK: Sir, how many casinos have you bankrupted?? tRump bankrupted four casinos and two more hotels! "... and the total amount for investors and creditors is estimated to be over $1.5 billion." Can you match that record of business failure and massive money loss???
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues Now you've made me feel like a failure. ☹
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues Now tell us about the over 320 successful enterprises Donald Trump has been involved in
@sunsporter1649 DUUUDE!!! It's super simple to be involved in hundreds of successful businesses!! All you have to do is buy a $1 share in a stock index fund!! Personally, I'm involved in 500 highly successful businesses via the Vanguard VOO fund!!
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues Like this one?

@sunsporter1649 Does tRump own or operate that? No, the real owner operator paid tRump to use his name. No operational or financial control.

Trump Towers Istanbul is owned by the Turkish company Dogan Holding, with Donald Trump's Trump Organization holding a licensing agreement for the brand name, not the property itself. Dogan Holding, a powerful Turkish conglomerate, partnered with Trump to develop the project in 2008.

@ElwoodBlues Or this?

@sunsporter1649

Does Trump still own the old post office in DC?

No, Donald Trump does not still own the old Post Office Pavilion in Washington, D.C. He leased the property in 2013 through DJT Holdings LLC, a company he owned through a revocable trust. The GSA (General Services Administration) leased the building to him for 60 years, according to Wikipedia.
However, the official owner of the building is now GMAC Commercial Mortgage.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@JSul3 LOL, and never made a penny off of the building, right?
@sunsporter1649 DUUUDE!!!
You said 320 businesses, and you can't show us a profit statement for a single one???

JSul3 · 70-79
@sunsporter1649 Failed Trump U..... failed Trump casinos....failed Trump charity.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@JSul3 We know, this is your idea of a successful rich kid

@sunsporter1649 You can buy pretty things when you inherit $400 million from daddy! Like that nice airplane! Thanks for reminding us of another failed tRump business!!

Nobles claims Trump paid $US365 million for the aircraft and landing slots, borrowing $US380 million from a consortium of banks and putting in around $US20 million of his own cash. The sale took months to receive approval, however, so the first flights didn't take off until June 8 1989.
. . .
In an attempt to turn around its fortunes, the new management team planned to offer leisure services to Mexico, the Caribbean and Atlantic City, giving passengers a little more time to enjoy their Caesar salads, but it was too little too late. Trump missed an $US1.1 million interest payment in September 1990, the loans were defaulted, and ownership of the airline passed to the banks, who eventually sold it to the US Air Group.

Face it: your orange god has been living off inheritance, hype, and more recently, suckers like you who pay into his cult!!

@sunsporter1649 Scots hate the Orange Traitor.

FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 I'm sorry, but your lack of understanding of the UK shows when you display something like this as a rebuttal of what was said before.
JSul3 · 70-79
@sunsporter1649 LOL!

The image displays a 'proposed' flag representing the Ulster-Scots / Scots-Irish ethnicity, combined with a political statement.
Flag Design: The flag incorporates the St. Andrew's Saltire (flag of Scotland) as its base, overlaid with the Red Hand of Ulster symbol, surrounded by leaves of a Scottish thistle.

7 in 10 Scots hold unfavourable opinion of Donald Trump.

Public Sector:
71% of the Scottish public hold an unfavourable opinion of US President Donald Trump.

A new Ipsos Scotland Political Pulse survey, taken between 21st and 26th February, finds that 71% of the Scottish public hold an unfavourable opinion of US President Donald Trump. Just 18% hold a favourable opinion of him.

Emily Gray, Managing Director of Ipsos Scotland, said:

"These findings show that the Scottish public hold a broadly unfavourable opinion of Donald Trump – even more so than the British public overall do."
@JSul3 And, tRump's Scottish golf courses continue to lose money!

Trump's Aberdeenshire course has lost money every year since its opening. 2023 losses: For the year ending December 31, 2023, the course reported a pre-tax loss of £1.4 million, nearly double the loss from the previous year. ...Total deficit: By late 2024, the course's total accumulated deficit had reached approximately $20 million.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues That will be the fault of the windmills I would imagine. 🤣
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues Accounts for Trump Turnberry show it made a profit of £3,835,649 in 2023 compared to a profit of £186,261 the year before.

It is the second consecutive year the firm that operates the luxury venue and golf courses has been in the black following seven years of losses after Trump purchased the 800-acre resort for £39.5m in June 2014.
@sunsporter1649 says of tRump Turnberry
following seven years of losses
C'mon dude, tell the rest of the story! How much was lost during those seven years in the red??? Oh, never mind, I'll do the research myself.

Loss of £17.6 million in 2016 due to a major redevelopment and nearly £3.4 million in 2017. Loss of £3.4 million in 2020, and £3.7 million in 2021.

That's not an investment, it's write-down🤣😂

And Aberdeenshire is even WORSE! That course has lost money every year since its opening. 2023 losses: For the year ending December 31, 2023, the course reported a pre-tax loss of £1.4 million, nearly double the loss from the previous year. ...Total deficit: By late 2024, the course's total accumulated deficit had reached approximately $20 million.
