UK, Afghanistan, and a Revelation.

A revelation has descended on me. Shall I share it? Do you want to know what it is?

It has dawned on me that occupying nations creates a mess. Where there is mess, there must be cleaning. Some of the bodies in the mess are going to want to leave it. What happens then? The occupying nation and other nations feel the need to accommodate the fleeing bodies.
