are democracies in europe dying? i just saw a preview of a program on tv, called 'dying democracies' in europe, erosion from within..

I believe that all of Europe is experiencing the onslaught of globalist Socialism and Marxism. When free speech is no longer tolerated...when people are jailed for expressing their opinions online...you can be sure that Democracy is dying.

Right wing authoritarianism brought about by a fear of foreign immigration, pushed by the right wing politicians and their media lapdogs (or vice versa). It works every time and stops people banding together to protest the real issue, which is wealth inequality. The simplistic "Blame the brown guy" campaign appeals to all the bigots and unfortunately there's quite a few of them in Europe and the USA.

"Dying" is a bit melodramatic, but it's pretty clear that a lot of people (from any side) are losing confidence in democracy and the rule of law.
