If Tim Walz wants to make a run for the presidency

Or whatever Democrat wants to run, if we have another election anyway, please for the love of god learn these words:

Right to Repair
Right to Plant

For the good of the people just learn those words

They won’t of course, no politician will. Because capital rules the world, not ethics.

But maybe, just maybe, somebody will get the message one day and reach those folks in my part of the world and we can stop the endless ratchet towards full fascism.

Agree with both. As a DIY individual I am often frustrated by the inability to buy parts without a commercial license. I am guessing the claim s for my safety, but I suspect the real reason is to protect the manufacturers and the tradespeople. For example, a condenser motor went bad on my a/c, but was unable to find a place to sell me one locally unless I was a licensed service technician. The repair service charges $500+ to replace a $40 part that takes less than half an hour. And then they use that high fee to convince you that your a/c is too old and needs to be replaced. Luckily we have one place in town that sells HVAC parts to the general public.

It’s all for profit. Nobody can repair their tractors without buying from John Deere, nobody can plant seeds without buying from Monsanto.

It is killing our ability to produce food unless those that grow pay enough to their overlords.

Democrats could reach rural Americans if they started doing those things.

Instead they’ll throw us queer folks under the bus and move farther right.

I definitely agree with the right to repair and write two plant right to save rainwater that falls on your property and right to privacy now where I probably disagree with you is I don't believe just because you are in a protected class you should be able to display sexual acts with people in parades. Now I believe you have 100% privacy to do whatever you want with whoever you want that is of legal age in your own home.

And I agree on those points but I think healthcare that is not an oxymoron might be something to start with.

@PalteseMalconFunch RTP will not change the reactionary radicalization of rural America. And that happened 80 years ago so you are a bit late to the party on that.

When you live in a democracy you have to appeal to majorities with issues that impact everyone first. You are not going to appeal to the majority by dealing with niche issues that only impact single digit minority groups.

And I am sorry but tens of thousands of Americans dying for no reason every year is by definition a more important issue.

It is also something that a New York Liberal and a "redneck" from West Virginia can relate to and find common ground.

You won't get city folk to fight for niche issues for farmers until you have made up enough common ground that they will care about their plight. It is just the way it is.
