Global Homicide Rate

Did you know that more people die by non-war related homicide (one human killing another), than by all wars and terrorist activity combined?

That's right. Read that again slowly.

Add up all the wars (Ukraine, Gaza, and all others) and all the terror attacks and it does not reach the level of us regular people killing each other.

Globally there are over 1,000 homicides per day. Every single day.

That's it. That's all I got for ya today. No commentary or opinion. Just a news flash. And maybe one request....

But bear in mind, the numbers we get from wars are approximations, and they tend to be on the lower side.

Either way yeah we're a bunch of murderous tribalistic bald monkeys, as a species.

@Elessar Even if we double the number of reported deaths from wars and terrorism (according to @fakable's chart) we still don't reach the levels of death from homicide. 😔
