Interesting quote. Stop for just a moment and ask that question from an Israeli perspective. Its Hamas that started this issue by the raid into Israel 10/7. What are 1139 lives worth? 815 of those were civilians. Plus hostages taken by Hamas. Sorry, its Hamas that is responsible for this mess and the aggressive stance of the Israelis. Do I wish it would stop? Yes. Do I think it ever will? Hell no.

@eli1601 Do you think Palestinians will get land back if they surrender? Will Israel start to treat them well? Their circumstances would not change.

@emiliya no one wants the displaced Jordanians. Israel tolerated them and allowed them to stay in gaza. Hamas is the issue.

@MasterLee Palestine is derived from philistia. The Romans renamed it Palaestina. When Jews had control of this land, when it was ours, it was called kingdom of Israel. We broke our covenant with God, and it split, forming the kingdom of Judah in the south and Israel in the north. We still had it, but God says that when Jews break the covenant, we are punished and no longer receive the same protection from Him. The Assyrians came, and then it was conquered by Babylonia. They destroyed the first temple. After this, it was the Persians and later the Greeks. Jews later regained control and had independence again. Romans then came. A military revolt during their occupation was not the answer, as it led to masses of Jews being killed and many being exiled or leaving.

In rejecting Jesus, Jews are rejecting God.

Israelis have no understanding of peace or how it is reached. We can all say that we want there to be no conflict, but how do we make this happen? What are they prepared to sacrifice?
