Not trans in this case. He's a male with female anatomy as a result of a genetic syndrome/disorder (that affects only men as far as I can make out). So his sex chromosomes and physicality are male, and testosterone production is male. I have sympathy for the individual but in a contact sport such as boxing, and by the regulations of the boxing authority, he is ineligible for the women's category. The IOC should follow that ruling.

@helsbels 'One of Khelif’s past opponents has spoken out about their fight in 2022. Mexico’s Brianda Tamara said that Khelif’s power and strength was unbelievable and that she had never ‘felt like that in my 13 years as a boxer, nor in my sparring with men’. She was grateful that she ‘got out of the ring safely’.
