The attempted assassination of Donald Trump

This was a deliberate attempt at killing Donald Trump. Americans should rejoice that he has lived to see another day. He is a man who is sacrificing his time, his reputation, his freedom, and now possibly his life to save America. How could you view the footage of this attempted assassination and not feel empathy for him, and be glad that he, by some miracle, survived?

Where does the alleged assassin come from? Why did he try to murder Trump?

What does he have to gain from trying to save America? His character has been repeatedly maligned; he is not able to enjoy a retirement; he is pursued legally; he is ordered to pay vast sums of money in questionable cases; and he is shot at.

We have been an embarrassment as a nation long before Trump came on the scene. He wanted to set things right and that upset us. This is why we have been trying to destroy him any way we could including killing him. So far, he is indomitable. I think he has won the fight against those who hate him.

@Nevertooold Why would a successful 78 year old man want a civil war? If Trump is the man you claim him to be, he would consider this a worthless cause. He would decide that it is not worth his reputation, his money, his freedom, and his life.

I am not American. Why do you hate this man that is trying to save your country? Can you point to something beyond superficial traits you assume him to have or misrepresentation and lies from the media? They have been trying to kill Trump for a long time now. Words are their weapon.

@MrSmooTh Trump wanted to keep the economy moving during covid. He knew that locking US and the rest of the world down would severely damage our economies. If Trump could have made the decision, no US states would have locked down. Inflation has risen considerably under Biden. He blames it on the impact of covid and the war in Ukraine, but it is policy around covid and the war in Ukraine. The US approach to the war in Ukraine has made prices rise, and without their interference there would be no war.
