The attempted assassination of Donald Trump

This was a deliberate attempt at killing Donald Trump. Americans should rejoice that he has lived to see another day. He is a man who is sacrificing his time, his reputation, his freedom, and now possibly his life to save America. How could you view the footage of this attempted assassination and not feel empathy for him, and be glad that he, by some miracle, survived?

Where does the alleged assassin come from? Why did he try to murder Trump?

It looks like it was a deliberate attempt to kill Donald Trump. Nothing is definitive yet. His motives for running for President can only be speculated, only he knows the real reasons. Selfless sacrifice is not exactly prominent on his resume. As for saving America, what is the measure for that? When is it saved and from what?

That aside, whilst I'm not a fan of Donald Trump I do not wish for him to be shot and I think that this event makes nothing better, rather it makes a lot of things worse.

Trump is a 78 year old man. People are considered elderly when they are this age. Since 2016, he has been trying to fight the corrupt establishment, trying to put the USA on a better path. Trump has already made his money. Don't you think he has more enjoyable things to do than being pursued by prosecutors and now shot at?

He is trying to save America from what we all witnessed in Pennsylvania.
@emiliya Do you think that Trump isn't and wouldn't be part of the corrupt establishment? How do you feel he is different from that? He's a very privileged wealthy person from a privileged and wealthy background and has a track record of evading his responsibilities. How did he suddenly become a paragon of virtue? Trump has always demonstrated a sizeable ego and a love of power. Do I think that the idea of him being president simply for the power and prestige is equally plausible to the idea that he suddenly, for the first time in his life, became selfless? Yeah, I kinda do.

Anyway, that wasn't really what I wanted to get into. You're free to support Trump, I don't care about that. I've got nothing more to add, I didn't want him shot and I'm glad he survived.

@UBotMate Many stories and myths have been disseminated about Trump; how do you know what to believe?

Wealth and privilege do not mean you will be part of the corrupt establishment. Even kings can become saints. Trump is not a simple character, and it is possible for all of us to be redeemed. Is it so unthinkable that he determined he should take a different path? What if he is a better person now?

Do you have an issue with being wealthy?

@emiliya Sounds like you over dosed on the Trump Koolaide. You might want to see a doctor about your medical condition.

@emiliya give me a break. He wants to be able to pardon himself more than anything.

More guns will solve the problem I am sure.
