Ah yes, the imaginary voters who are switching from Biden to Trump because of the debate. Has anyone found one yet?
If you want to keep Trump out of the White House, Biden is still your best bet. As for 2028, don’t worry, Kamala will have plenty of competition.

As I explained to you before, Leo, it isn't the voters who switch from Biden to Trump.
It's the people that planned to vote for Biden, but who will now stay home, or vote third party.

Great photo. Which one is Olbermann? Maddow? @Thinkerbell
LeopoldBloom · M
@Thinkerbell Who are those people? Do they exist? "Electability" is an existential analysis of how you think other people will vote. Meanwhile, you're ignoring actual polling data that says some conservatives won't vote for Trump if he's convicted of a felony. Of course, you don't think those people exist either.
You're not voting for a man. You're voting for an administration. I'll take Biden in a coma over Trump because I'd prefer to be under the people in his administration rather than the Project 2025 fascists in a Trump administration.

You’re a partisan hack. @LeopoldBloom

As I've already told you, Leo, probably more than once (since you keep repeating the same claptrap), Trump's felony conviction by a kangaroo court has already been folded into recent polling data.
And yes, if Biden wins in November, you will surely have a comatose president. He's practically there already.

Correct as usual @Thinkerbell

@LeopoldBloom Biden has dementia and is not capable of being President again, and probably not even now. That said, I won't vote for Trump, but I also can't vote for Biden, so, I'll just stay home and not bother this time around.
jackjjackson · M
Would you vote for a young squeaky clean moderate democrat such as Gov Josh Shapiro? @independentone
Dino11 · M
@LeopoldBloom Biden is History, Trump
Will win in November
Will win in November
independentone · M
@jackjjackson Possibly, I would have to know more about the guy
jackjjackson · M
Take a look. Do some research. Way more trustworthy than Newsome, Whitmore, the Camel, the list goes on and on. @independentone
LeopoldBloom · M
@Thinkerbell @jackjjackson Because his followers see his felony convictions as more proof of how persecuted their orange lord and savior is. I mean, they crucified Jesus, so Trump's convictions just prove what a threat he is to the corrupt system. Meanwhile, Hunter's conviction for filling out a form incorrectly demonstrates the majesty of our justice system.
LeopoldBloom · M
@Dino11 Even if Biden wins, the problem isn't going away. The election will come down to a handful of voters in a few states. Congress is also divided. Whoever wins is basically a coin flip. It means nothing.
jackjjackson · M
Your broad brush Trump hate is ridiculous. Not everyone is as obsessed with you. If you read my most recent threads you will see how I e outline the future with Josh Shapiro being president in January 2025 and explained how and why. @LeopoldBloom
LeopoldBloom · M
@jackjjackson Shapiro is fine with me but I don't think we're ready for a Jewish president. You may not be aware of the strident antisemitism on the left, and how Shapiro would be put on the spot regarding his position on Israel. Plus, he's the governor of a purple state and we can't risk a Republican running Pennsylvania.
And yes, I hate Trump. You agree with most of his policies, so I can see why the hate doesn't make sense. But Trump is a symptom of a deeper problem. Someone like him shouldn't be polling more than 20%. The fact that this is such a close election and the winner will be due to a few voters in a handful of states is the real problem. Right now, the presidency is a coin flip. Biden winning won't be indicative of "America rejecting Trump" and Trump winning won't be "America rejecting Biden" either.

So left wing antisemitism should keep most likely the best future candidate out of office? Overall I’ve preferred Trump’s policies to Biden’s. I don’t like Trump and think he is a jackass. Biden isn’t mentally fit to be president today much less tomorrow or any days after. Harris is a disaster. The DNC can broker a deal giving Harris maybe a few months in the WH and a golden parachute, All the Biden’s get pardons and commutations. The Dems run a candidate for president such as a qualified squeaky clean moderate Shapiro and beat Trump. If it’s Trump vs. antisemitism I believe the far left would prefer to accept Shapiro and get rid of Trump. The rest of the “young” Dems all have problems and most likely won’t beat Trump. Tom Ridge was the last PA Republican Governor. @LeopoldBloom

@LeopoldBloom I don't think the election will be all that close. Like in sports, you will win 1/3 of your games, lose 1/3 of your games, it comes down to how you do with the other 1/3 (Independents)
Trump has his base and 33%, Biden is polling at 26%, if he can't even get his 1/3, it really won't be much of a contest.
Biden needs to withdraw from running, and do it this week if the Dems want any type of a chance.

"Prosecutor" Weiss was dragged kicking and screaming into going to trial on the LEAST of the potential charges against Hunter, after he tried mightily to sneak an unprecedentedly lenient plea deal past the judge, who fortunately was astute enough not to go along with Weiss's script.

@Thinkerbell It's very unusual for anyone to be prosecuted for filling out that form incorrectly if the gun isn't used in a crime.
jackjjackson · M
That was one of many charges. The prosecution did Hunter large favors by eliminating the more severe charges. Hunter got off easy. @LeopoldBloom
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@LeopoldBloom
As usual, Leo, you didn't read.
"Prosecutor" Weiss tried to give Hunter immunity from a lot of much more serious charges as well.
I even sent you this link a while ago.

Naturally, you didn't read it, and you are now just repeating your old party line. 🙄

@Thinkerbell OK, so? Trump wasn't prosecuted for his illegal attempt to strong-arm Zelensky, either, unless you count his first impeachment. Are you saying that convicting Hunter of a minor paperwork infraction was part of a deal to get him on something to make up for the other crimes he wasn't charged with? Like getting Al Capone on tax evasion but not bootlegging or murder. I guess our legal system works that way, but if Hunter getting hit with minor charges in place of the major ones bothers you, shouldn't you apply that across the board? Oh, wait, never mind, you think Trump is as pure as the driven snow, innocent of any wrongdoing and the victim of a vicious Democratic witch hunt.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@LeopoldBloom
And as usual, Leo, you're dodging.
READ THE VOX ARTICLE I LINKED.
They got the deal that "Prosecutor" Weiss was trying to put over on the judge right.

@Thinkerbell I don't know why you're upset. The failure of the plea deal means Hunter is still open to prosecution on any irregularities in his dealings with China and Ukraine. And Weiss had begun his investigation under Trump, and Biden kept him on. You're seeing some nefarious plot that somehow benefits Hunter when the opposite is true.
By the way, despite the best efforts of those jackasses in the House, nothing has been found out of line with Hunter's foreign business dealings, nor is Joe Biden linked to any of them other than his son using his name for cachet. But the Republicans were going to pitch a fit if Hunter wasn't charged with something, so they picked a crime that normally isn't prosecuted, but they had him dead to rights on.

Nah, I'm not upset.
I just used large type to try to get your attention, but of course nothing works on a closed mind.
I don't care who Weiss started under. He tried to let Hunter off on a plea deal that included immunity from prosecution for much more serious crimes than lying on a gun application, but the judge wouldn't let him get away with it, as you would learn if you would read the (liberal) Vox article.
But of course, you won't. 🤭
