Trump Judge will have no choice but to issue a directed verdict acquitting Trump

The defense is not PERMITTED to put on a case u til after the prosecution rests. The prosecution is currently putting on its case and the defense is doing a fantastic job skewering the prosecution witnesses on cross examination. We will see what happens when the prosecution rests. I’ve outline what SHOULD happen based on these facts. We will see whether the trial judge wants to get reversed on appeal. @LeopoldBloom

@jackjjackson You must be watching a different trial. All I'm seeing is Trump and Blanche seeming to trying as hard as possible to piss the judge off. By "putting on a case," I'm talking about the arguments the defense has put forward in the media. And if you think Judge Merchan is going to dismiss it, you're delusional. Merchan is known for harsh sentences for white collar crimes.

As for reversal on appeal, normally the defendant is incarcerated following conviction. The only reason they wouldn't be is if there is no chance of them committing additional crimes, and there is some obvious error in procedure where reversal on appeal is all but certain. Neither of those factors is present here.

However, apparently the threat of sanctions for Trump's repeated violations of the gag order is having an effect. Now he's just giving a thumbs-up at the end of the day instead of ranting how unfairly he's being treated.

What do you think of the Supreme Court slow-walking the decision on whether the president is a king and can do whatever he wants? We all know how they will eventually rule, given that a Democrat is currently in the White House. The goal is to delay the trials until after November, and they've succeeded.

The show trial IS going on and will blow up in your faces. No judge likes an appeals court to make a fool of him or her with a harsh reversal. This judge is digging himself in deeper and deeper. Eventually even he will realize the error of his ways. Rather than taking a little time to think, this judge makes snap decisions seeking liberal media praise. @LeopoldBloom

If it was Biden on trial and the same things were happening, you'd be recommending Judge Merchan for a seat on the Supreme Court.

@jackjjackson Even the trump supporters realize how corrupt trump is. They just don't think he should be held accountable for his corruption.
