Agreed. I would also apply that to every civil service position. Everyone holding such a position should be giving a month’s notice during which applications for each position be accepted, interviews held (including current position holders) and someone for each position be hired solely based on merit and reviewed yearly with normal hiring and firing taking place following initial hiring based solely on merit. That doesn’t take an Einstein to figure out or implement today. @pdockal

In what world does $90B for Ukraine, $20B for Israel and $15Bfie out border make a lock of sense. Should not the order be reversed? Assuming of course one has an iota of American patriotism? Or at the very least the amounts made equal?
