It’s hard to say who knew what when they went to that island. All his money bought him important “friends.”
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@StevetheSleeve not friends , “assets”.

I imagine in those circles, during those times, it was just touted as a "rich guy with his own island" and supposedly above board. The public consciousness about what constitutes predatory behavior, vs. the attitude that "boys will be boys, men are just like that" has evolved considerably, even since the 90s.
People have already begun describing the "Me, too" movement as a horrific modern-day witch-hunt, but for the first time all women, regardless of race or class, were being taken seriously when they called out sexual misbehavior. 😳

The very nature of the names listed means they had "people" who keep an ear to the ground to protect their image. Personally I dont believe a single one of them had not been told of Epsteins reputation in advance. Thats not to say they did anything illegal. Many may have just been curious to observe. While others like the thrill of meeting a bad boy up close and personal. Something Frank Sinatra was well known for.😷

@AthrillatheHunt Its all good. Wife used to work as a nurse in aged care and the "oldies" often developed a sense of humor about there failing health. Now her memory is failing, but she has seen the funny side of that most of the time. Playing on her failing memory as a joke.. 😷
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman you’re lucky to have her and she you .

@AthrillatheHunt I totally agree. We were better as a couple that either were as individuals..😷

Epstein was a multi-millionaire who routinely hung with famous people. SO much of what is in those newly released papers are thing like "so-and-so said that so-and-so said that this famous person said this or that."

Wait, What, Stephen Hawkings...😳

Not shocking at all .

But I think it's safe to say that most didn't. Many on this list never met him. This thing is really firing me up. It's just pure salaciousness which leads the faux "protect the children" freaks to say "guilty." I hope there's lawsuit after lawsuit for defamation. Starting with Jimmy Kimmell suing the shit out of Aaron Rodgers.
robingoodfellow · M
@Ynotisay the Aaron Rogers thing is particularly heinous, and unfortunately typical of the world we live in now.
" I don't like this guy so I'll accuse him of something horrible without proof, and hopefully people spread it all over the internet as fact."

@robingoodfellow Yep. You're right. Which is why I'd love to see Kimmel go after him. Need to start marking some high-profile examples.
They didn't say a thing.

@BlueGreenGrey There are three categories of people Epstein dealt with. His own staff, celebrity draw cards Vips and movie stars and the people he made deals with and for..Now I count the young girls he used as bait as staff. The names we will learn will be from those first two lists and will include past Presidents, Movie Stars and famous and infamous people like Stephen Hawking and Prince Andrew. And the girls may have had something to so with some of those people (Looking at you Andy!) But while Jeffrey was a dirty little boy in his own right, that didnt pay the bills. He used his money and notoriety to draw people to his circle and then brought obscure people with important positions to meet them, and later maybe corrupted and even gently blackmailed to do him favours or to do favours for others he knew. A court decision here, a regulation removed there. a land rezoning elsewhere. An iffy loan smoothed through the banks and so on.
Now THAT list of names we will never know. They will be federal and state elected officials, judges and baord members of the biggest, most respected companies, and they are the reason for Jeffreys "accident."😷

@BlueGreenGrey Not necessarily. He may have done the deed himself. However, if so I am sure others made it quite clear to him that his future was going to be unpleasant and probably involved meeting several inmates in the showers and an introdutory course in "shanking". No way those cameras were off on a high profile person of interest like that or that the guards accidentally didnt make their rounds or that he was suddenly taken off suicide watch.. The guy should have been in a Blacklist type cube under 24/7 personal guard..This is one of those cases where a bunch of people covered their tracks. And we will never know who they were...😷
tenente · 36-40, M
keanu reeves isn't on the list 🙏

@tenente oh thank goodness
tenente · 36-40, M
beyond the evil shit he did to women, i think it's wild that no one really knows how epstein made his fortune. it's shocking that hollywood elite, politicians and intellectuals chose to associate with him given how opaque he was
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@tenente opaque to the common man maybe. He was a powerful man through the information he held.
