It would never happen, but Pete Buttigieg would do a fantastic job.

If you’re looking for corruption sure. You may want to check into last week’s news. The mayor lost his salary due to his abuse of government assets. @LeopoldBloom
@jackjjackson The Republicans just wanted to punish him. It has nothing to do with corruption. It's all performative, like trying to impeach Mayorkas. They can't pass any legislation, so they need something to show their constituents that they're not just a bunch of useless idiots.

@LeopoldBloom I really loved the transportation crisis with cargo ships backed up further than the eye could see and Butt-edge-edge taking maternity leave for weeks on end, with Biden not even bothering to backfill with anyone competent. Butt-edge-edge bikes to his office for photo-ops with two gas guzzling secret service vehicles following closely, so we know he cares! Um. Cares about something. Maybe.

You’re correct the mayor is a fraud. @IronHamster

Excessive use of government taxpayer paid jets for personal events. He owes us more than his measly salary he’s getting off easy. @LeopoldBloom
@jackjjackson He must have learned from Trump and his habit of flying the Secret Service to his own properties so he could fleece the government at inflated per diem rates.

Um they were for awards more him being such a fantabulous gay boy. Different deal dude please stay on topic and take your Trump potshots on appropriate threads. @LeopoldBloom
@jackjjackson Well, now we at least know why you don't like him.

I don’t care for him because he doesn’t do his job. Worst train wrecks and airplane problems EVER under a transportation secretary. He was thrown a political bone and ate all of it and more. He will disappear after Biden is out of office and live the life of the wealthy. You know all that. @LeopoldBloom
@jackjjackson How is the transportation secretary responsible for that? If that had happened under Elaine Chao, you'd be blaming "liberals" in those states or the companies themselves.

The DOT is responsible for enforcing the laws and regulations Congress passes. They can only do this with sufficient staff and funding. Buttigieg is dealing with the fallout of four years of the Trump administration allowing the transportation infrastructure to deteriorate, followed by the supply chain disruptions caused by COVID.

I agree that Buttigieg's career is over after this. He's from Indiana, a conservative state that will never elect a Democrat as governor or senator. Anywhere he relocates to at this point will view him as a carpetbagger. So he's probably looking at a career as a consultant, author and commentator like Robert Reich.

Lame excuses. He’s been a failure at everything except ripping off the taxpayers for personal gain. @LeopoldBloom
