i just saw this headline by forbes news '' Feds File Landmark Suit Against Amazon For Protecting Online Retail Monopoly ''

i shop at amazon online a lot, and are concerned about this, i wouldn't want amazon to be put out of business...can amazon survive this?

Let's see, there's eBay, Etsy, Wish, and now Fubu, or whatever it's called, as well as all the major retailers having online shopping that includes shipping, and as for books, Powell's in Portland, the largest independent brick and mortar bookstore west of the Mississippi River, sells them online, with other media types as well, as does Barnes and Noble. So no, Amazon is not a monopoly in the sense of the very definition of one.
