I used the wrong attachment. This was the deficit one. Here is debt. My mistake. https://youtu.be/nmeF_hIkX18

@MarmeeMarch Was the huge GW Bush deficit caused by the "war on terror"?
ElwoodBlues · M
@helenS The huge GW Bush deficit was driven by Bush's cutting taxes without cutting spending. Then he boosted spending even more to pay for his wars without ever adjusting taxes. Strangely enough, all the republican "deficit hawks" were hibernating and didn't emerge from their caves until Obama took office.

@ElwoodBlues Thank you 🌷

@Kypro As I said, Obama doubled the national debt in absolute terms.
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Kypro This ignores the effect of inflation and is deceptive because it doesn't show absolute dollars.
Kypro · 51-55, M
@HoraceGreenley not doubled but increases, as trump, bushes and Reagan did
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Kypro Obama doubled
Kypro · 51-55, M
@HoraceGreenley see above
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Kypro Yeah is doubled or alomost so acorind to this chart
Kypro · 51-55, M
@HoraceGreenley Reagan tripled and bushes doubled
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Kypro OK...so what?
Kypro · 51-55, M
@HoraceGreenley yeah so what about Obama. No one person or party creates debt is the point.
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Kypro So by that argument the same is true for Reagan and Bush.
Kypro · 51-55, M
@HoraceGreenley I didn’t make an argument you blamed one side.
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Kypro Your post was incorrect. You had deficits and not debt. And there's no correlation to who is in charge of Congress. I pointed out that during most of Clinton's administration, Republicans controlled Congress.
You made the mistake.
You made the mistake.
Kypro · 51-55, M
@HoraceGreenley I didn’t say there was. Why are you arguing
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M

HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M

Kypro · 51-55, M
