Is this the best possible deal for the debt limit?

The preliminary reporting on the compromise looks pretty good to me. The Devil is in the details, of course, but overall I think that the Democrats should accept it.

Let the GOP fight it out in their party and realize that if there is a default—they own it!

So what exactly was accomplished here and what are the implications for the next few years?

1. Twice Impeached wanted a catastrophic default on the national debt limit that he ran up. Had that happened, Republicans would have to own it. McCarthy (and I am certainly NOT a fan of Kevin) negotiated with the Democrats and avoided a tragedy—no thanks to Twice Impeached.

2. A bipartisan solution was reached which bodes well for President Biden and Speaker McCarthy working together for the betterment of our country.

3. Another major data point that any thinking Republican will recognize that their success as a political party lies with dumping Twice Impeached and his “lites” and moving on. He never offered anything but nonsense, lies, and grifting. Let him drown in the sewer of his own making.

The big job now is to speed up prosecution of TFG and continue down the line. Vote Blue and keep the White House, take back the House, and get real majority control of the Senate. I really think that if the constant phone calls and texts from TFG to the House stop, a lot of the damage will cease.
No. The people shouldn't have to work for food stamps. But they're not saying nothing,! Mphhhhjkphhht. Twitter said zero about the unfairness and waste.

Wow! Calling me names, and getting the meaning wrong in the same post.
Here's the deal. You are the fascist since you are the one who wants to have other people (like me) do what you tell them to do (give their salary to the state to buy votes). Rather than take the word of your liberal masters, look it up for yourself.
Me?? I am a live and let live person. Since you said we work or starve, who gets the tax money? I don't see anything efficacious in you calling me an ugly, mean, and meant to divide name such as fascist.
By the way, historically, groups of people who regularly denigrate others learn to loath and despise those others to the point that when those others are harmed, the dominant group willingly goes along with abuse. So, with that knowledge, I will tell you; don't denigrate me again.
@MarthannBann888 no, a fascist is someone who allows for power and government without a welfare state and with business firms in control of the means of production. Both parties in Washington are fascists, now. I'm a communist, someone who thinks it's probably important for the voters and not business firms to control the means of production as a democracy.

It is a free country so you can believe what you like. But, it is a matter of fact, Amnesty International being the most famous organizations of verification, that communists are responsible for the murder of 70,000,000 Russians, 60,000,000 to 100,000,000 Chinese, 3,000,000 Cambodians, at least 1,000,000 Cubans, and countless Africans. I don't know how many deaths came from Eastern Europe. That voters would have a say so in such countries is a sick joke as voters are required to vote for the only candidate on the ballot. No choice is the bottom line.
I will resist these robbers of freedom and truth as long as i have life. Private companies could only wish they could achieve such brutality.
No. Dem progressives didn't hold the military budget hostage for a Green New Deal, did they?
