A weapons ban would only affect the law abiding citizens. Those that are intent on destroying lives will do so regardless of the law

@Wantingwidow Easy access to weapons designed for killing large numbers of people quickly and efficiently is a major contributor to the US mass killings. No other country experiences what we do. These weapons serve no useful purpose except in war. Ban them and limit cartridge size and we will see mass killings decrease, as happened when we banned them in the 1990s and 2000s.

@windinhishair banning them would not take them from the hands of those that want to use them for evil

@Wantingwidow Not all, and not immediately, but many mass killings are conducted by young men who buy these weapons and immediately go on a killing spree. We need to ban them now and start the downward trajectory of these killings.

@Wantingwidow Wrong. In Uvalde TX, Las Vegas 2017, and many other mass shootings, the weapons were purchased legally. The guns of choice are AR-15-types.

@badminton That's impossible! There were "No Guns Allowed" Signs on those buildings!
