Woman left with 13 bullet holes after brother took her dancing at Colorado LGBTQ club

"Charlene Slaugh, 35, and her brother James Slaugh were preparing to leave Club Q on Saturday night when a gunman opened fire, killing five and wounding 25 others...Charlene was shot at least once in the abdomen and suffered a collapsed lung. She is recovering after undergoing surgery and faces a long recovery."

Two AR-15-style weapons were used in the attack.

Weapons aren't the problem
BAD people are the problem
Horrible health care system is the problem
Lack of discipline and responsibility and instant gratification are the problems

@pdockal AND Weapons are the problem. A man with a knife or even an axe is not the imminent danger to dozens of people 100 metres away that a man with an AR 15 is..😷

@pdockal Actually it is the guns. There have always been bad, mentally disturbed people. The problem is in America the bad/crazy people have access to AR-15s and 9mm 16-round semi-auto pistols. And they can buy hundreds, even thousands of rounds of ammo easier than you can buy stray paint.

@Baremine Tried and failed to kill an octogenarian with a hammer. Meanwhile, this person tried and succeeded in killing at least five people with a gun. Bit of a difference, although I doubt you're willing to acknowledge it.

@pdockal What I want is an assault weapons ban, and the requirement of a gun license in order to buy handguns, including a mandatory gun safety training class, photo and fingerprints to buy guns or ammo.

With Freedom comes responsibility.

These weapons have been around and available for decades but it's only recently that we've had issues ... why ... society is broken .... guns and people like you are the problem because you blame the gun weekend there are so many other factors that cause people to want to kill others

Chicago has lots of gun control but it has lots of fun violence
ARM EVERYBODY and the bad guys will think twice and if they do shoot enough people will be around to take then out

@pdockal There are physically too many guns sold at a time when not enoght records were kept and there is not enought trust in the governments. (Federal or State) to inform the government who has even half of them.. Millions of those firearms arent in the hands of professional criminals or gangs. Just people who are breaking laws just by having those guns and they arent about to say anything.😷

@pdockal That is certainly a problem long overdue for addressing. And indeed maybe why no one trusts the US government is part of it. But no one gives children hand grenades to play with, because they dont need them and they are a danger to themselves and everyone around them.. Thats insane..😷
