All big cities run by democrats share this characteristic.

Smaller population, but 10 times the firearm homicides

Detroit isn't the worst city in the US, but it's a classic example of the elephant in the room that politicians, both dems and reps, refuse to address. Democrat cities run by gangs and funded by drugs. Gun control will never fix the problem.
