More progressive insanity

Earlier today, I made a post about how my boyfriend has been upset at the Queen passing away, and how I don't really get that. As I have explained to people, I understand the significance of her death and can appreciate that she was a very good figurehead, and that her reign was a long one...I feel indifferent beyond that though. I don't feel any connection to her, and so feel like I have nothing, and no one, to mourn.

People who have been very upset though, are much more normal than the increasingly dangerous and unhinged progressives who since yesterday have been telling everyone how much they hate Elizabeth, and how her death is a great thing.

One such progressive, named Uju Anya, wrote a tweet saying:

I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating.

This is an example of someone whose brain, if she ever really had one, has been completely ravaged by extreme progressive ideology. People like her are consumed by hatred and say things that would normally be considered harassment or hate speech, yet because they are liberal (or more specifically, a "minority") they get to say whatever they want, no matter how demented and shocking it is.

What's worse is that this woman is even a professor 😂

I fucking hate the Biden administration but I would never take pleasure in the fact that he has dementia, nor will I say anything like that on the day he passes away.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Peril Please give me a specific example of a Republican who did anything like that.
@SinlessOnslaught Maybe you won't, but most of your conservative cohorts will. Don't worry, the day Twitler croaks will set a record for rejoicing around the world. Of course, you guys will say Hillary killed him even if she dies first.
@DavidT8899 People chanting "fill that seat" at a Trump rally one day after RBG's death.

Glassysky · 26-30, M
Personally, I respect she was neutral and understand she was not a "political figure" rather a symbol of tradition & culture.

But, Im indifferent beyond that.
My country has a royal family too, but Ive no affection for em
SW-User
@Glassysky That's how I feel too
Ballou · 56-60, F
@Glassysky Go to Belfast on the 14th of July, they are still banging drums and lighting bonfires for her and her family.
I saw that tweet and it shows how mentally incapable and ignorant this person is. Even if you despise the British Empire you have to admit that it was pretty much gone by the time Elizabeth II had taken the throne in 1952. Even before that the Monarch didn’t have control over the government for a few hundred years so can’t be reasonably blamed for the actions of the people in actual power.
Ballou · 56-60, F
@CheekyBadger Gone ? Are you serious? You might want to tell the Brits then. Developed countries old empires are still being exploited , in the form of loans to develop! So you rob someone and then lend them back the money to ‘help’ them ! Seriously think about it !
@Ballou my point is that the queen is a figurehead but not actually responsible personally for decisions made by a democratic government, so to wish her ill based on that is ridiculous
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@Ballou Exactly like Uncle Sam
antonioioio · 70-79, M
I would completely with your post right up until the last paragraph
I'm Irish and most of us would have have anything good to say about the Royals but
She proved that she had a brain of own when met and shuck hands with Martin McGuinness against the advice of her own government
I'm not going to into it any further but she was women in her own right that most of us here in Ireland would admire as a person
SW-User
@antonioioio That's really an example of how impressive she was.

Basically, she transcended politics.
antonioioio · 70-79, M
@SW-User not alone that
She was able to see the other persons point of view and to able to do that and shake hands with the people who killed her uncle
I’ve always wondered how mental dissonance, vulgarity and insanity are anything “progressive?”
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Speaking ill of the dead says more about the speaker than the deceased .

An indoctrinated indoctrinator, full of hate and stupid sh*t to say.

I agree that the professor went too far; the Queen wasn't personally responsible for the horrors perpetrated by the British during her reign, but it would have been nice if she'd said something instead of studiously remaining "above politics." Even Charles has spoken out against climate change, and Princess Diana brought the world's attention to land mines, a topic no one thought about until she got involved. There are probably thousands of people who still have their arms and legs directly due to her efforts.

I don't know what Elizabeth's personal views were, for all I know she cried herself to sleep every night over the evils of the British Empire, but public silence amounts to acquiescence.
graphite · 61-69, M
She teaches nothing courses, of course. An afternoon at McDonald's would better train you for a job than sitting in that woman's classes for four years.

Notice how Progressives don't elect their insane people to office.

"Progressivism" is just the advocacy for social reform and yes what she said is awful and dumb her stance on this is not shared by all progressives though.
I noticed that many on here seem to confound liberals with other left wing currents.

I do understand your criticism. Grave dancing is tasteless.
Ballou · 56-60, F
Many of us don't hate her just what she represents and she stayed neutral, great, easy to say nothing and call it neutral in the face of the atrocities perpetrated by her country and always with the Crown as the rallying symbol !

@SW-User it's clearly a troll

Or it's got mental issues 🤷🏻‍♀️
These people are all rejects and victoms of the English military man who made be small in stature but do have a cock between there legs....there are only about 9 countries who are not victoms and professor???? Yeah and I'm Winston Churchill
It was a thieving raping and genocidal empire but wishing her excruciating pain is a bit much. The tweet however has already been removed by twitter so no, they don't get to say whatever they want.
Ballou · 56-60, F
@SW-User totally agree, most of the history of the British monarchy stinks like trash.
Ballou · 56-60, F
@SW-User Really child you need to read some history books , in order to understand why the world is at war still today over natural resources and the damage done centuries ago is partly responsible for the state of things today. I doubt the woman thinks as you so naively put it . Try talking to First Nations adults who were kidnapped as children from their homes and put into state schools, all part of the lovely old Empire tradition of annihilating and destroying the fabric of the conquered peoples’ culture.

Wow!

I totally understand why you don’t have a connection to a monarchy that is symbolic only. It’s a sad day for some and I have no idea why people are as extremely vile about her passing.

I’m a very emotional person but I don’t have any real feelings either way except to acknowledge the hurt the family is enduring.

Don’t worry about it and I say take down your post if it is becoming ridiculous for you. Xo
Torsten · 36-40, M
I am with you. I could not care any less about her passing.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
I believe people should talk less and do more. There's something down South we call respecting the dead. And you don't speak bad or I'll of them.. But it is ok to criticize someone constructively and respectively.
SW-User
The SJW cultists have very small minds and lives
strongbow · 46-50, M
Quite a few people think the same way apparently
Ballou · 56-60, F
@SW-User As a family running the family of nations, yes a very abusive relationship when they remain top dog and tell every one else how lucky they are to be a part of an organisation that is still the empire with another name ! Don't worry though we won't be occupied for much longer thanks to BREXIT. Thanks Britain for that one !
SW-User
@Ballou Not bothering to read on account of it being trash.

Go and be insane somewhere else 🥴
Ballou · 56-60, F
@SW-User Is that your response to everyone who disagrees with you ? You make naive statements of how the British Empire no longer existed when she came to the throne and the poor woman was just a powerless figurehead! It’s not the Star Wars Trilogy it is history and no amount of telling people to shut up will hide the fact that you have to resort to name calling and childish retorts.
You are sick of people blaming, really ?
That is evidently because you don’t know what they are talking about and you make no effort to try and understand why people in ‘ex- empire ‘ feel so strongly against the monarchy and what it represents.
